This bowl at Bimini Twist starts with a much thinner base that doesn’t linger long on the taste buds. Lots of potatoes cooked and crispy, not over cooked. Missing some elements found in other Chowdas like onions and parsley felt void. Clams are a bit on the light side too but the flavor is amazing and has a hint of Sherry.

The spoon test leaves the base dripping mostly off but this bowl is not filling and saves room for the main course. All in all an appetizer that won’t disappoint for those craving Clam Chowda but not one that you’d drive out of your way for.
